Storyteller

When we first moved to Ashland, this room was our living quarters for six months while we renovated the upstairs. Located toward the back of the house, it is comfortable and quiet, and stays cool in the summer when temperatures soar in Southern Oregon. By day, the Storyteller Room is filled with warm natural light that creates an inviting space perfect for relaxing. A dedicated writing nook invites creativity; complete with  a vintage typewriter, writing desk, and comfy mid-century recliner.

Just outside a set of century-old French doors, the private pergola-covered patio offers space to unwind, alone or with a few friends. Sink into our Breakfast at Tiffany’s-inspired clawfoot tub sofa or gather around the retro patio set for conversation under the open sky. Whether you’re writing, reading, making music, or simply soaking in the peaceful ambiance, the Storyteller Room is an ideal haven for travelers seeking a quiet, inspiring escape.

A Note About Morning Sounds: Because the kitchen is located just above this room, you may hear us moving about as we prepare breakfast in the morning. We do our best to keep the clatter to a minimum – and rest assured, those little sounds mean fresh coffee and homemade breakfast are on the way!
