Parkside Acoustic Bed & Breakfast

Ashland Outdoors

Ashland is packed with natural beauty, from the peaceful paths of Lithia Park to the wild, open spaces of Ashland’s wildlife overlay—and Parkside Acoustic is right in the middle of it! Being inside the overlay means we get to enjoy wildlife up close—deer, raccoons, squirrels, turkeys, and all kinds of birds are regular visitors. Whether you’re up for a casual walk or a big adventure, nature’s right here waiting.

Lithia Park

Lithia Park is literally right across the street from us, and we couldn’t feel more grateful. Tucked into the heart of downtown Ashland, Oregon, this 93-acre is Ashland’s crowning jewel and a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike.

Visitors looking for a relaxing afternoon can stroll along shady creekside trails, relax by the duck ponds, or wander through the Japanese garden and rose garden. There’s a playground for kids, as well as courts for tennis and pickleball. In summer, there’s a spot to swim; in winter, an ice skating rink adds a festive touch. During the warmer months, you can even join a free guided nature walk to learn about the park’s history and native plants.

Whether you’re in the mood for a hike, a lazy afternoon with a book under the trees, or simply soaking in the natural beauty, Lithia Park is an easy place to spend the day.

Living Inside Ashland's Wildlife Overlay

Last spring, we had the privilege of seeing a pair of twin fawns born in our backyard! It was a  profoundly moving experience, and reminded us that living inside a wildlife overlay is a pretty awesome experience—there’s something magical about being surrounded by nature and catching glimpses of local wildlife right outside your door.

That said, there are a few things to keep in mind during your stay with us that will help keep nature in balance. For example, it’s a good idea not to leave food or garbage outside overnight—curious critters like raccoons or even bears might decide to pay a visit. Feeding wildlife, even if it seems harmless, can actually cause problems for them down the road. And if you’re out driving, especially early or late in the day, just keep an eye out—animals don’t always look both ways. It’s all part of living in harmony with the landscape, and honestly, that’s part of what makes it so great.
