Make Music Parkside
At Parkside Acoustic, music is part of the soul of the house. We believe music is meant to be played, shared, and felt, whether you’re picking up an old favorite tune or hearing something new for the first time. Here, you don’t have to be a musician to join in — you just have to love the way music brings people together.
Visit our Music Room
Our cozy Music Room is open to guests during the day (hours may vary). It’s a relaxed space where you can spin a record on the turntable, play the piano, or noodle away on a new tune. No need to be fancy — just pull up a chair and make yourself at home.
Borrow an Instrument
Feel like making a little music yourself? You’re welcome to borrow a one of our loaner instruments during your stay. Our “lending library” includes a variety of guitars and ukuleles, a bantar, a mountain dulcimer, a violin, an autoharp, and even a harmonium!
For more information on borrowing instruments during your stay, visit How to Borrow an Instrument.

Concerts at the Bandshell
One of our favorite things about Parkside is being just steps away from the Butler Band Shell in Lithia Park. From spring through fall, you can hear live music drifting through the trees — everything from singer-songwriters and folk groups to jazz bands and classical ensembles. Performances are free and open to everyone, so just grab a picnic blanket and wander across the street whenever the music calls.

Around Ashland
Ashland, Oregon might be best known for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, but its music scene is a hidden gem. From cozy pubs to elegant concert halls, there’s something for every kind of music lover here.
Live Music & Open Mics
In the heart of downtown, you’ll find spots like Oberon’s and Brickroom, and La Baguette Music Café just a few blocks from that, where live music and open mic nights create a welcoming vibe. (They’re great for catching local talent, too!)
If you’re looking for something a little bigger, the Historic Ashland Armory hosts a fun mix of local and touring bands from all kinds of genres. Over at Ashland High, the Mountain Avenue Theatre puts on great community shows and student performances that are always worth checking out. And if you’re in the mood for something a bit more refined, the Oregon Center for the Arts at SOU has everything from classical and jazz concerts to recitals—all in a gorgeous space that really lets the music shine.
